#26: Tomorrow Morning

Our 26th prompt comes from V. She says:

On Monday morning, you will wake up to…

*

V,

This is probably how my morning tomorrow will be. My first alarm will go off at 6.00 am, and I will open my eyes, look at my phone, and turn it off. The next one will go off at 6.30 am, and then I will sit up in my bed and contemplate all the ways being an adult is a sham.

I will do two Sudoku puzzles to get my brain going, then I’ll get out of my bed at around 7.00 am, and have half a litre of cool water. That always wakes me up. Then, I will stretch and meditate for 15 minutes. I like to do a breathing meditation in the morning, it helps to get me to a state of awareness and insight that I enjoy. If all goes well, tomorrow will be the day I start the 7 minute workout. I am not a huge fan of working out, but I realize that I spend a lot of time exercising my mind, and very little exercising my body, and I want to change that. Wish me well as I do squats, pushups, crunches and planks (shudder).

After that, I will take a shower and dress up. What I wear usually depends on where I’m working from/who I’m meeting that day. Tomorrow I’m working from home, so it will probably be a fitting cotton tee and loose cotton pants. I’ll then make my breakfast, which normally is brown bread, eggs, black coffee and a glass of fresh juice. I have breakfast as I read, and I will be continuing a book I half read in February, Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. It is a long read, but it is quite enlightening.

At around 8.45 am I draw up a task list for my day, and at 9.00 am, I get to work! 🙂

This post is part of a daily writing experiment that I’m running for a year. I’d love it if you took part! ?
